You have got to give Digital Playground a lot of credit. With most adult companies turning to strictly gonzo productions to get the job done, DP continues to pump out some quality script-driven films.

Their latest, Sex In The Valley, is kind of like Fox's "24" meets "Debbie Does Dallas." We follow a bicycling delivery boy, played uproariously by Barrett Blake, as he travels around delivering groceries and medication to porn producers and horny customers for a day.

This is one of the rare adult movies that you will actually laugh at, and laugh because it's funny. Blake's acting is just over the top enough and director Robby D inserts sound effects with Grocho Marx-like precision and keeps things moving.

The script, by Beth Anne Raphael, allows for many funny moments, the best coming at the expense of gays and the stereotypical 7-Eleven clerks. One of the outtakes at the end of the film, where a "director" is simulating an orgasm, is something that could play in a mainstream film as a DVD extra and gain a cult following. I felt like I was watching Ferris Bueller or something.

Sex wise, the hot meter is pretty high and the girls look great. So what you've got is a great couples movie that will also appeal to the guy just looking to wank off. An early candidate for the '05 AVNs, no doubt.

Barrett, establishing himself as one of the best actors in adult, plays a delivery boy who rides his bike around town to drop off groceries. And dude gets to stop for the sexiest girls. His first stop he runs into a bra-and-panty clad redhead who locks him into the bedroom with her friend and sings her friend the Marilyn Monroe version of Happy Birthday.

See Barrett is the present, and he has to strip down for the girl (Anna Belle) in a very hilarious role-reversal scene that may make a few guys think twice next time they're in the club.

Next thing you know Kris (Anna Belle) is dry humping him while he spanks her ass in what suddenly has turned into a very horny visual expression of lust. Kris delivers a superb hand/blow job and then gets the finger wiggle test from Barrett, who also expertly uses a little tongue to make things feel better.

Barrett gets a little missionary before he squeezes Kris' round bottom, again, in cowgirl sex that is satisfying to watch. Then Barrett lays Kris' head off the edge of the bed, stands up and jacks off into her open mouth. Man, what a job dude has.

Only it turns out that Barrett is the stripper Kris' friend hired. He really was delivering groceries, and he gets kicked out naked, but rides down the road proudly, tugging on a ciggy.

At our next stop (we'll assume he went back for more groceries and we didn't see it), Barrett apparently visits a customer he's seen before. The customer, Gabriel, is on some over-the-top gay thing (think Damon Wayans on "In Living Color"). It's been done, but it's funny.

That takes us to his next stop, at another gay man's house (Bruce) who is filming a shoot with his gay friend Steve. The guys are filming a hetero shoot and has no idea what to do with two girls ready to go at it. Barrett, of course, makes some suggestions and the girls follow his direction.

The scene is pure lesbian lovemaking between Bunny Luv and Angel Cassidy, with lots of licking and rubbing. The blonde and brunette both have wonderful bodies and great round (if altered) breasts and complete a scene that is somewhat hot but will need no editing to make it on the Playboy Channel.

So Barrett continues his tour, stopping to see Eric Masterson after turning on the car alarm for his bike (which made me laugh out loud). Eric is a video director with no permit to shoot in an apartment. He's nervous and thinks Barrett is the police.

But Eric needs a star and one look at the big-tittied girl with a blue wig (Wendy Devine) and Barrett is playing a porno superhero named Space Marine, only he needs some Viagra (funny moment).

Unable to get wood, Barrett's out and off to his next stop -- delivering heart burn medicine -- where he bumps into, another video shoot. A blonde (Kerkove, looking quite Jenna Jameson like) gives Alex Sanders a head-shaking blowjob followed by an I-wish-I-was-there handjob and more sucking with her collagen-enhanced lips.

After Alex eats her out a bit, Bridget is riding him facing away, her hard and fake breasts barely moving. Her moans and screams and "I'm gonna comes" though, don't ring too true. Kerkove rubs her pussy vigorously as Alex takes her in missionary, but there seemed to be much more acting than reality in this scene.

Afterwards, Barrett, still upset about his erectile dysfuction, asks Sanders how he keeps it up during sex in front of people.

And what ensues is one of the funniest moments I've ever seen in a porno: Sanders, overacting like Brando playing Romeo, teaching Barrett about the finer points of the opera.

Buoyed by his new knowledge of how to keep it up, Barrett goes to his next delivery, which is so dangerous he has to call his boss before he goes in to deliver hemorrhoid medication to a dude with a serious Army fixation.

After this hilarious scene, Barrett's off to another porno shoot and ala the talent is having wood problems. Barrett, of course, now can help. Next thing we know, ol' Barrett -- minus his wood problems -- is getting holy head, and I mean holy, from an exotic brunette with huge breasts and a model gorgeous face (Alexis Amore).

She fingers her own pussy and ass as she blows him off. Barrett eats her out on the kitchen counter and then impales her on the same counter in missionary. Now this is hot. The woman is calling for her mother.

Like Alex focuses on opera, Barrett finds his sexual chi and even learns -- hilariously -- how to fake an internal pop before he delivers a heavyweight facial to end a sterling scene.

Back at the store, Barrett's getting chewed by his boss for being late but begins to relay the story of another delivery to yet another director, a cute young looking girl with black hair, who Barrett assumes will be easy because she's in porn.

Then, they pause for an awkward moment before she decides Barrett's waited enough. So next thing you know Barrett's licking pierced nipples and sucking clit and getting his dick sucked (again, lucky stiff) and getting the kind of slow doggy style loving that many a man has lost a load on.

It's another "lovemaking" type scene, but it's quite effective, even for the raincoaters out there.

Back at the store, the director has found Barrett, and she tells them she wants to hire him. Barrett can't give up his job, he says, as a delivery boy. Well, until she shows him his paycheck.

Then it's off to porno world forever.
