At 36, Janet Jacme
has enjoyed a 12-year career in the adult industry
and has developed one of the largest fan following
in the industry. She's been called the Black Jenna
Jameson.
She's a
self-proclaimed sex freak who figures she couldn't
do anything else except what she does.
"I cum for a
living," she said. "How many other people get paid
to cum?"
Janet is funny,
fun loving and laughs a lot. She's also trying to
expand her business. She just got control of
her new website and expects to re-launch it
officially by the end of the year.
Janet sat down
recently with our webmaster, Evan, and throughout
their
two-hour interview she came across as bubbly,
worldly and extremely sexual.
Q. OK, how often when you're at the grocery
store or the movies, do people look at you and do a
double take? You ever have to sign autographs in
public or embarrass boyfriends with their
girlfriends?
"Yes, very much.
They do the double take. They get on the phone and
call people. They say, 'Oh my God, talk to this
person.' They're not too shy at all. It's usually
not too wild. It's fun and funny when you're buying
your tricks at the store and all your personal items
are in the bag and someone comes up to you and goes,
'Oh my God, oh my God' and you look like shit. It's
all good though. It's cool."
Q. You've
been in the business for a long time. Financially
has it taken care of you, or will you need to find a
job one day?
"I haven't had a
second job in 13 years. I'm 36 now. I'm not set for
life. I'll stay in it until they stop calling."
Q. You
recently starred in
Assliciously Delicious 5 and
stole the film from girls half your age. Your scene
with Mark Anthony was fabulous. Tell us about it.
"That was the scene of my life. I've never had
anything that large inside of me ever, not even Sean
Michaels. I've been with Lexington Steele before,
but not in the back. That scene was really, whew, I
can't even explain it. It was an out -of-body
experience. I was checking this whole thing out from
a different angle. It was like I physically was not
really there."
Q. How do
you prepare for an anal scene?
"There's really no
preparation. You eat a salad. But usually it doesn't
hurt if the guy is not Mark Anthony. He's got a big
tip."
Q. Has the
industry soured you at all, or if you had to do it
over would you change anything?
"I would do the
same thing. It's cool. I like the sex. That's really
me doing all the yelling and screaming. I really am
having the time of my life. How many people get paid
to cum? That's all I really want to know. So many
people do it for free. I get to cum and I get a
salary, too."
Q. How much
do you make per scene?
"On the average
scene, a regular lovemaking scene, about ($1,000 or
$1,500). A little bit more for anal."
Q. You are such a sensual person on film. I
was curious if you're that way in real life too?
"Yeah, that's me.
It doesn't take much to get me off. It's in my mind.
I'm horny. Usually as soon as you touch me I'm
bursting. I cum really quick, too and over and over
and over."
Q. Does
dancing get you excited?
"It's a turn-on to
have all those people looking at me and looking in
my eyes. I like to stare you down a little bit."
Q. What's
your wildest dance story?
"I invited a
gentlemen up on stage like I normally do and pulled
his dick out, like I normally do, and he bet me that
he could cum. I was like, 'No way, not with all
these people looking.' Ten seconds later, bam, he
came all over me. That was at Body Tap in Atlanta."
Q. Are you
living in Atlanta now?
"Yeah, it's been
home base for almost a year. I moved here from LA."
Q. Tell us
the story of how you lost your virginity.
"With a boy. I was
15. We had sex. It was horrible. It was in his
mother's bed I think. Didn't do much for me. A year
later things got better but with a different guy. I
had sex with the first guy once."
Q. Janet
how much longer do you plan to stay in the business?
Can you do this into your forties?
"Sure, I can do
this at 41 or 42. it's not easy to get out of the
biz, you know what i mean? Movies are on the shelf
forever, so even if i go away I'm still there. I
think that's cool though. I've been at regular jobs
and hated them. I've had 20 regular jobs and they
all sucked."
Q. A lot of
your fans are curious why you got out of the
business when you did a few years back. You
basically disappeared and rumors went wild, from
drugs to just pissed off because you weren't getting
paid enough. What's your story here?
"I've heard rumors
that I died. I left the movies so I could go on tour
because I was getting so many calls from people to
come to their clubs and feature. I
figured I may as well take a break because it's
better money and there was a lot of stuff going on
in the industry at the time.
"It was sort of scary with the whole AIDS thing. A
lot of new people were coming in by the hundreds. The hundreds. I thought I'd better back off for a
second. I came back because I needed new movies.
People were always asking, 'When is your next movie
coming out?' So I came back."
Q.
Let's clear up some stuff. Were you and Julian St.
Jox ever married?
"Not married, no,
but we were together for four years. He got me in
the industry back in 1991. We met in '91 and I
started doing movies in '92. I was doing hair in the
industry for the girls. I was already doing hair in
LA,. I met Heather Hunter first and she became my
best friend. I was doing her hair and I started
meeting a lot of the girls. And I met Julian and I
became a porn star."
Q. Did he
talk you into getting in front of the camera?
"He didn't talk me into it. I said 'I want to go.' I
saw how the girls, whose hair I was doing, used to
go on the road and dance. That's what I wanted to
do. I'm a dancer. not a stripper dancer, but I have
taught ballet and tap.
"I wanted to go out, you know, and dance because
they were really coming home with some lucrative
cash, and I needed cash. Who doesn't? They told me
the hook to it all was that you need box covers to
feature dance and box covers meant doing porn movies.
So I had to do the movies to get the money.
"I really only intended on doing two or three movies
in the beginning but it's contagious. it gets
addictive. It is the sex. It's easy. You have fun
and meet friends and become kind of like a family
and I kind of had sex with the same people over and over
and over."
Q. Do you still date? Who are you dating
now, if anyone?
"No. People ask me
out. I tell them I can't. I'm a recluse. I work and I go
home. My landlord knows what I do but my neighbors
don't."
Q, What
about the Janet and girls thing? You don't do girls
on camera or don't do girls at all? I saw you in
"Iron Maidens 2" and Kitten touched you a little and
even kissed you, but not really.
"Well Kitten knows
me. She knows how I am. I've never had an experience
outside of the industry with a girl and I'm not
really one to take money just for that. I gotta
really be into it and since I've never been with a
girl, you'll never really see me with a girl on
film. In my stage shows, I bring girls up and it's
all choreographed and pretty. It's all non-internal
stuff going on."
Q.
You seem, more than any other star in history, to
really get into your scenes. You seem to really cum
and really enjoy it in doggy.
"That's my thing.
I like backing it up. That doesn't do it more for me
more than other positions, though. I like them all
equally: on top, on bottom, upside down, on my head,
whatever. It's the act of it that really excites me.
I do get like, you know, the out of body thing. It's
like I can see what guy is actually seeing. it's
hot. I think I've always been this way. I went to
Catholic school. All girls. I was definitely
daydreaming in class."
Q. Let's
talk about your past.
"Grew up in
Chicago. I have four brothers. I'm the baby. First
four years I went to Catholic school, next four
years public school and that's when I got horny, so
the next four years I went back to Catholic school
because my Mom knew I was horny."
Q. What
does your family say about your career.
"They said, 'Go
girl. Do your thing.' I told them what I was doing.
It kind of came up in conversation. People knew and
people were my families' friends and they 'd be
like, 'I think I saw your sister,' and they casually
kind of asked."
Q. Your
favorite on screen partner? Why?
"Ohh. That's a
hard question. I'm going to have to name more than
one. Julian St. Jox because that's my dog, we're
still totally good friends. Sean Michaels because
he's like a sexual surgeon, very precise. He
knows what he's doing. Mr. Marcus because he's
fine as hell."
Q. You said
Sean Michaels and I immediately thought
"My Baby Got
Back 4"
"On the desk, leg
up. I remember that one. Can't forget
that one."
Q. What's
been your favorite scene you've done?
I don't remember
all the movies I have done. People will go, 'Do you
remember this movie when you were with so-and-so?' I
go, 'I sure don't.' They're kind of all the same.
But the last scene I did with Mark Anthony (in
Assliciously Delicious 5), I will remember for the
rest of my life. That was shot in July (2003).
That's the last movie I've done. I think that one
will get me through the next year."
Q. Do you
think you've gotten the credit due from the
industry? In my mind, you're one of the best lays
ever in the biz yet when people talk about great porn stars,
it's always about someone else.
"No. No. No. No
(doesn't feel she's gotten credit). It's like any
industry if you ask me. Some of the people that I
like and I think are the best don't' really get the
recognition that they should get. Me personally I
don't think the industry, not my fans, but the industry.
I don't think it's kind of recognized me. I don't even want to say
this because it's going to come back to me.
"But let's just say
maybe they didn't' think I would become as big as I
did so they didn't put me on the box covers and it
had a lot to do with ethnicity, boobs, too much
booty."
Q. Speaking
of booty, at one time in your career, you lost a ton
of weight. Was that an attempt to look more
appealing for the mainstream box covers?
"I had my wisdom
teeth pulled. It's the stupidest story. I had teeth
problems and I couldn't eat for five weeks. I lost
so much weight and I went out on the road and people
thought I was a crack head and it hurt my feelings
and I started eating and eating and eating. I had no
intention of dropping weight at all."
Q. In your
dance shows, what can people expect to see for those
who haven't seen it? Why should we go?
"Usually I like to
get on stage and hump everybody and give everybody,
or at least as many as I can, a table dance. I like
to bring guys on stage and show people what would
happen in the bedroom without actually getting to
into intercourse, but very close, like pull the
guy's dick out and give him a little jerk and half a
blowjob. It's fake. I'm not gonna suck somebody's
dick I don't' know."
Q. When you're giving these laps, are guys
getting way too excited sometimes?
(Laughs). "A couple guys lose it in their pants.
Let's put it this way, I've sat down and popped back
up sometimes because there's stiffies and woodies
everywhere. It's a total compliment. I love it."
Q.
What are you thoughts about using condoms on screen?
"I don't really
have a problem not using one. That's what the
testing is for, and I pretty much know the guys I am
working with and they're very professional. These
guys treat their dicks like it's money in the bank,
their whole checking account. It's a privilege to
work with them."
Q.
Does size matter? Why? Why not?
"No. Size does not
matter. I like men. I'm very attracted to men's
bodies period."
Q. If you
could give your fans one sex tip what would it be?
"Slow down. Enjoy
the moment, especially the pussy licking."
Q. Tell us
about any big name celebs you've done it with (minus
names) and tell us how they were and about the
overall experience.
"No I can't tell
you. But yes, I have been out with athletes,
celebrities and singers. They were awesome in bed.
Awesome. Oh my gosh."
Q. Sounds
like you remember someone in particular.
"Maybe."
Q.
Strangest thing a fan has done -- or tried to do --
to you.
"I haven't had any
strange things. I've pretty much seen and done it
all around the country and the world. Nothing
surprises me. After you see grandmothers fucking
and peeing, you're pretty much seen the list."
Q.
Something you won't do on film?
"I was once asked
to do the two dicks in your pussy or two in the
butt, no, no, that's too much work."
Q. But
you've done your share of double penetration scenes.
"That's different.
It feels good. Yes. Yes. Yes. You gotta have two
really confident guys focusing in on that one hole
they're each dealing with, though, but I've never
done that (in my private life)."
Q. Let's
play a name game. I say a name, you say what comes
to you.
Snoop Dogg
"My doggy. I love
Snoop. We've actually never met, but I love him."
Janet Jackson
"Ooh. What do I
say about Janet Jackson? I love her. I took my name
from her. Janet came from Janet Jackson and Jacme
came from this song called "Jack Me Til I Scream."
Sean Michaels
"The man. He's the man. He's the BIlly Dee Williams
of the industry. And no one is going to let his arm
fall off."
AVN
"Pass. You know I
don't even think they know me. They do but they
don't."
Vivid
Entertainment
"Rich."
Jenna Jameson
"(Laughs). Cutest
thing on two legs."
Ashanti.
"Oh my god. We
switched. A little Janet Jackson."
George W. Bush
"Who? (laughs).
Dubya? (Laughs again). No comment."
Q. Do you
do private parties? How can folks contact you to
dance in their clubs and town?
"Absolutely.
Usually people just come up to me or see me at the
clubs and get the club's number. Private parties are
$500 and club shows are $1,000 per night. At private
parties I come by myself or with other girls.
There's lots of toys."
Q. But is
there sex?
"I'm not gonna tell you."
