The summer is in full swing and that means that school is out for a whole new crop of would be porn stars. With the ink barely dry on their diplomas, young women are lining up to shed their clothes, bare their assets and get a head start paying for tuition. Those girls who aren't heading straight for the beach to work on their tans are welcome to swing by Porn Valley to see if they can be the next sperm swilling superstar. By the time classes resume in a few months, many of these babes will have come and gone, but at least a few will stick with us. (And probably be snatched up by Jill Kelly Productions if trends hold.)

Though he has been out of sight for a while, Tom Byron has re-emerged with some big news. After six years, Byron has split from business partner Rob Black and Extreme Associates. He has formed his own company, Evolution Erotica, and will open his doors in early June. This move essentially leaves Black as the last man standing at Extreme. The house cleaning that has changed that company over the past few years is now complete. Though Byron and Black remain friends, Tom will shape this new company to his liking. I've already got an interview scheduled for the middle of June to get the complete scoop on the newest Evolution in porn.

The Jill Kelly family just keeps right on growing. Tiny blonde prick pleaser Cindy Crawford has inked a deal to be the latest JKP contract babe. After just nine months in the business, the twenty-four year old blonde is ready to take the next step. She inked a six-year contract that begins with the filming of "Unbelievable Sex 3," directed by Corey Jordan.

"I worked for them once - a boy/girl/girl scene with Alaura Eden and Nick Manning. They were such professionals and were obviously concerned for my well-being. So I decided this was a company I wanted to work for and I approached them for a contract," Crawford told AVN.com's Scott Ross. "I've always been an exhibitionist. I've always been very comfortable with my body and being naked. It's really the fans I'm making love to, not the guy in front of me."

At the top of her list of things to do now that she's inked a deal is popping her on-screen anal cherry and hit the road as a feature dancer.

Two well-known directors have movies on the shelves under new labels this month. Lexington Steele's first release "Lex Steele XXX" was released last week. Lex carries most of the sexual weight in the flick, joined by old friend Erik Everhard in a wall-to-wall wood fest starting Olivia Del Rio, Sophie Evans and Carmen. Thomas Zupko also released his first movie for Elegant Angel this month. "Flesh Circus" features the return of Veronica Caine and Scotti Andrews in a three-ring sexual adventure. It's Zupko at his best, with twisted images, hot sex and stunning visuals. The movie should be the first of many now that Zupko has signed a deal to direct exclusively for Elegant Angel.

Porn's hottest girl has finally landed herself a home. Aurora Snow ended her three-year run as a free agent by signing with Sin City. The deal will put her behind the camera as well as in front of it. Though an official press release has not been issued, I spoke with Aurora briefly about the contract. She wants to focus more on school and will now be able to choose her projects carefully. Sin City beat out a number of companies for Aurora's services and should get a huge boost from this signing.

Aurora's LVNI teammate Gauge also landed a contract with a major player this month. The super sexy spinner is now under contract with Metro. Like Aurora, Gauge will have a chance to slow down, choose her roles more carefully and work on her web site. It's been a long time since Metro has had a contract girl this young and hot, so we can look forward from to some great new movies from Gauge.

Early last month, I had the chance to make my TV debut. I did a short segment on Naked New York with Bob Berkowitz. After working with Bob on his internet radio show for two years, it was a very comfortable experience. OK, so I was nervous as hell and wanted to puke all morning. Bob and his producer, Jayme Waxman managed to keep me from passing out and I got through the taping with clean shoes. We discussed trends in the adult business such as video on demand, diversification in porn and the status of contract stars. The Mexican-American star hails from East Los Angeles and will spearhead VT's Latin-themed lines. Company President Christian Mann was thrilled with the addition of Daisy to the team.

"Signing Daisy is a natural for Video Team. We are committed to remaining the pre-eminent producer of high-end ethnic product, which includes Latin-American performers."

Daisy's charms can be seen in Video Team's Mamacitas 2 and No Man's Land: Latin Edition, Part 3 and will soon begin shooting United Colors of Ass, Volume #10.

 Video Team also landed director David Aaron Clark. The highly-acclaimed director signed a one-year exclusive deal. His recent release "Asia Noir" caught the eye of fans and critics alike, helping land him on the VT roster for at least six pictures. Clark is thrilled to have found a home with Video Team.

"There's an unusual atmosphere at Video Team, one in which I actually feel comfortable. I've never been lucky enough to work at a place where there's a talented and experienced staff that's solidly behind what I do, so I admit to a certain feeling of shock and awe. As for my particular sexual fetish, I'll be continuing Asia Noir and No Man's Land Asian, and also hope to introduce a series where the best of the current and brand-new Asian starlets can really be showcased properly. I'd like to see a pure pornographic approach to some lines - but with the trademark Video Team high production values."

The last story this month features a long-time fan favorite and award-winning performer getting behind the camera for the first time. Wendi Knight is making her directorial debut with Zero Tolerance's "Grand Theft Anal." After years of giving some of the best anal scenes in the business, the movie was a natural fit for her first project.

I'll finish up with a few quick blind items I picked up along the way. In addition to Gauge, I hear that Metro is on the verge of signing another big name to be a contract girl. Word is that there may be trouble in paradise for one of porn's power couples. Can they co-exist in the business? Better yet, can they work together? I also hear that Anabolic/Diabolic has a new director. He's got some funky name like Pancho Wong Rivera Diablo or something like that.
